WrongPlanet.net's spam woes

Article from my other Blog @ http://hodgepodge8889.tumblr.com/

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt141259.html

Here you will read about Wrong Planets recent issue with spam and the infamous “Hello Dear I saw your profile” scam as well.

I remember when this went on at aspieaffection.com as I posted on the said topic

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postxf141259-0-285.html

about my opinion of Wrong Planet’s lack of a decent spam filter and blocker.

If you registered with Aspie Affection in the past 12 months then you’d remember when that site, which is affiliated with Wrong Planet by the way, had the exact same problem as Wrong Planet.

You’d think that since the sites owner Alex Plank is being funded by Autism Speaks

http://autisticsspeak.wordpress.com/2010/10/27/wrong-planet-assist-autism-speaks-in-silencing-autistic-for-satire/

to run his little show about God knows what, he’d at least put a little cash into a spam filter right ?

Has Alex Plank’s greed indeed turned him into some Bill Gate apprentice ? I think so.

That link by the way if you do visit it, you’ll find a lot of interesting articles on that site.

So all in all, if your Aspie and you celebrate your difference rather than hate it, then you’ll love Aspies for Freedom.

This is a unique site for Autistic people and their friends and family and everyone on the spectrum scale.

It’s different cause the users celebrate their differences and actually has “aims” instead of some “Autism is an epidemic” campaign out to grab your hard earned money.

Yes I am a user of AFF (Aspies For Freedom) and I’m proud to be considered one of the gang….

Welcome to my own little world

Hello and welcome to my own little world.

Like the description says, I have Autism and I play way too much Super Mario Brother games :D

I'm a HUGE Super Mario Bro's fan and absolutely love those retro Nintendo gaming systems. As well as countless other hobbies and interests.

Those other interests include basicly anything that I find interesting to read included news articles, bits of history that sparks my interests, and how-to's like guides and etc. My hobbies include computer related like Linux and the science behind how computer works. Not to mention reading up about how those old Nintendo/Sega gaming consoles that's probably piled up somewhere in your attic or basement works and how to emulate them or modify the original game cartridge ROM.

Hopefully one day, and with enough researching involved I can achieve my goals of fully understanding of how computers operate inside in out and becoming a game designer.

So I hope you, the reader, will find this blog entertaining and informative as you see the world through the eyes of someone with Asperger's Syndrome and learn that we are in fact not an epidemic.

Enjoy and thank you for reading :D
